Five held for duping youth:

The City Task Force Police have arrested five persons for taking unemployed youth for a ride by promising jobs in the Judicial Department.

The accused were identified as M. Venugopala Rao, 53, K. Srinivas, 25, D. Trinadh, 20, M. Adinarayana, 50, and K. Appala Naidu, 32. The accused have been handed over to the Station House Officer, IV Town Police Station for further investigation.

During searches, the police found details of candidates who were among aspirants for jobs such as junior assistants, senior assistants and attenders. The process of recruitment for the posts will be finalised shortly.

Police said the racketeers were trying to lure some of the aspirants by promising jobs through backdoor on payment of cash.

The accused were apprehended following a raid at a private guesthouse in Seethammadhara on Saturday night.

The CTF team led by ACP I. Chittibabu and Inspector R. Mallikarjuna Rao conducted the raid.

Meanwhile, the city police cautioned the job aspirants not to offer bribe to anyone for placement.
