Fake currency seized:

Sleuths of the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI), Visakhapatnam regional unit, seized fake Indian currency notes of various denominations of face value of about Rs. 5,01,500 from a passenger at Visakhapatnam Railway Station.
The accused was travelling in Guwahati-Bangalore super fast express train, and the DRI sleuths nabbed him when the train halted at Visakhapatnam station.
Confesses to crime
M.K. Singh, Additional Director-General of DRI, said that the accused had confessed that the notes were smuggled from Bangladesh and he was taking them to Bengaluru.
The seized notes were in the denominations of Rs. 1,000 and Rs. 500.
The officials also mentioned that accused was arrested under the provisions of the Customs Act 1962.
The arrested was produced before the Special Judge for Economic Offences, Nampally, Hyderabad, and was remanded for judicial custody for 14 days.
