Accused in robbery case falls to death:

An accused in a robbery case fell to death while trying to escape from the police custody on Wednesday night.

T. Ramesh, the accused from Hyderabad, fell from the second floor of a building at MVP Colony while being chased by the Malakpet Police. The police shifted him to a corporate hospital, where he was declared ‘brought dead’.

Later, the body was shifted to the King George Hospital (KGH) for post-mortem. Ramesh was involved in a robbery case under Malakpet Police Station limits in Hyderabad in Telangana and has been on the run. He came to the city in September and has been living in a rented house in Sector-4, according to MVP Colony Inspector Ch. Vidyasagar.

The Malakpet Police have been tracking his movements on the basis of his mobile call data and finally zeroed on him in the city.

The Malakpet SI and his team went to the house, where Ramesh was staying around 8 p.m. on Wednesday. On seeing the police, Ramesh tried to escape and in the process fell from the second floor of the building and died of severe head injuries.
