67 kg ganja seized, man held:

A man was arrested and 67 kg. dry ganja was seized by the Pendurthy police on Monday.

On a tip-off, Pendurthi inspector K. Lakshmana Murthy and his team intercepted an autorickshaw and seized the ganja. They arrested auto driver Santosh but the prime accused K. Ramana managed to escape.
Both Ramana and Santosh hail from Cheedikada mandal in the district and they were involved in the transport of the ganja.
The police are on the look out for the other accused in the case.
Fake notes seized
Md. Tamin (24) was arrested on a charge of circulating fake Indian currency at Pendurthy and surrounding areas on Monday.
Inspector of Pendurthi K. Lakshmana Rao said that Tamin, a native of Malda district in West Bengal was caught while he was circulating the fake notes, which were allegedly printed in Bangladesh.
Fake currency notes of the face value Rs.3,600 in denominations of Rs.1,000, Rs.500 and Rs.100 were recovered from the accused, according to the Pendurthy Inspector.
