4 arrested on charge of stealing copper plates:

Stolen property worth Rs. 5.82 lakh recovered
The City police on Thursday arrested four persons for stealing copper plates from Visakhapatnam Steel Plant premises, and more two more persons for buying the stolen property. Stolen property worth Rs 5.82 lakh was also recovered.
The arrested persons have been identified as B. Ramu (25), G. Harish (20), S. Naresh (25) and P. Tirupati (27), all friends and belonging to various parts of the city.
The other two accused who bought the stolen property were identified as P. Prakash (30) and R. Govinda Reddy (42), residents of Gajuwaka.
All the accused in the case are habitual offenders. Ramu has a rowdy sheet on him in Gajuwaka Police Station limits, while Tirupati has 17 cases, including an attempt to murder case, against him. Govinda Reddy too has two cases against him in Gajuwaka PS.
DCP (Crimes) T. Ravi Kumar Murthy said Ramu, Harish, Naresh and Tirupati intruded into the HES stores on Steel Plant premises on April 28, 2016 night, and stole the copper plates worth Rs 5.82 lakh.
Ramu moulded the four copper plates into eight ingots and sold them to Prakash and Govinda, who are habitual receivers of stolen property in Gajuwaka area, for Rs. 80,000.
However, after receiving the complaint from Manager of HES stores D. Venkata Ramana, the police investigated and arrested the accused.
All the stolen property has been recovered.
