Dr. Raj Reddy of Carnegie Mellon University, USA.

Dr. Raj Reddy of Carnegie Mellon University, USA who was here to have an interactive session with the students of Computer Science at Andhra University on the 28th of December spoke on the various opportunities available for the young people of Andhra Pradesh in the IT sector. Dr Reddy called upon the faculty to promote digital literacy by providing laptops etc., to students. Those not having any accessibility to computer do not attain any capability or capacity-building at all, he added. Vice-Chancellor of Andhra University, Prof. Y. Venugopala Reddy presided over the meeting.

At an age when other children of her age are whining for Barbie dolls and being spoilt rotten, 5 year Kadma performs on a rope balancing precariously for a few coins tossed her way. Poverty brings her along with her manager/father from rural Madhya Pradesh to Vizag.
