Stalin elected CPI district secretary:

Advocate and former corporator A.J. Stalin has been elected district secretary of Communist Party of India, Visakhapatnam district. He takes over from J.V.S.N. Murthy who was relieved of the charge on his election as State assistant secretary.

The CPI district executive and council which met here on Thursday and Friday to find a successor to Mr. Murthy, unanimously elected Mr. Stalin. Former MPP from Narsipatnam Balepalli Venkataramana and Badugu Ramarajyam were unanimously elected assistant secretaries.
