Srinivas takes charge as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) of South Coast Railway

S.S. Srinivas, an Indian Railway Personnel Service officer (1990 batch), took charge as Officer on Special Duty (OSD), South Coast Railway zone at Visakhapatnam on 11th March 2019 (Monday).

The Ministry of Railways assigned OSD the responsibility of undertaking planning and preparatory work for the formation of the new South Coast Railway zone head quartered at Visakhapatnam. His immediate priorities include survey of existing infrastructural facilities, requirement of land acquisition, and preparation of Detailed Project Report for additional requirements and the blue print for smooth transition of staff into new zone.

In his career spanning over two and a half decades he has held several key positions across five Railway Zones, a Production Unit, and at the National Academy of Indian Railways. His key professional interests include Employee Welfare, Negotiations, Transformation, and Change Management.

His prior experience of handling change management and formation of two new railway zones of South Western Railway and East Coast Railway, as well as setting up of RRC Bhubaneswar would prove valuable in his current assignment.
