Andhra university Prof. K.Srinivasa Rao elected as president of Indian Society for Probability and Statistics (ISPS)

Professor K Srinivasa Rao, a senior faculty of the department of statistics of Andhra University, has been unanimously selected as the President of Indian Society for Probability and Statistics (ISPS). ISPS election officer VH Bajaj has sent the orders to Prof Srinivasa Rao. Members are selected from across the country.

Prof Srinivasa Rao will assume the charge on January 1, 2019. He will hold the office for two years. Nation-wide campaigns and seminar and publishing ISPS Journal form the yearly programmes of the ISPS. Along with this, various projects and consultancies are also included.

Prof Rao is currently serving as the member-secretary of APCET and convenor of APRSET. He has also worked as a member of the Knock Steering Committee, Co-ordinator of UGC and ISO, head of the department of statistics, chairman of BOS and the co-ordinator of DRS SAP. He is also serving as the vice president of Operational Research Society of India.
