175 KGS OF GANJA SIEZED: The City Police Department arrested four persons who were in possession of 175 kgs of ganja in Gnanapuram yesterday. According to a press release to VizagCityOnline.com, Arumugam Krishna Murthy and Shanmugam Saroja of Chennai and Andavarapu Appa Rao and Andavarapu Chittemma of Devarapalli bought the contraband in Visakhapatnam agency areas cheaply and were attempting to smuggle it to New Delhi and other places when the city police caught them. They are currently held by the Kancharapalem Police, who are further investigating the case. According to the market prices, one kg of ganja costs about Rs. 10,000/- in Delhi, Mumbai and other cities.

7 GAMBLERS CAUGHT: Seven persons were caught gambling in a house at 11.00 p.m. in Peda Rushikonda, Swarnabharati Nagar on the 11th of June. In a press release to VizagCityOnline.com, the Police Commissionerate announced that Mr. M. Subba Rao of Lawson's Bay Colony, Mr. V. Bala Gangadhar of Pithapuram Colony, Mr. A. Subba Rao of Kummadi Junction, Mr. Ch. Babu, Mr. M. Srinivas Rao, Mr. K. Choudary, Mr. B. Srinivas Rao of M.V.P Colony were arrested by the III Town Police while gambling and Rs. 60,200/- was seized from them. Sub Inspector Apparao is investigating the case.
